When you use Watchdog Protection, we collect:

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data solely for:

Sending Alerts: When your laptop is unplugged, we send you a Telegram notification
Device Registration: Linking your device to your Telegram account securely
Service Improvement: Debugging issues and improving app performance
Security: Preventing unauthorized access and abuse

⚠️ Important: No Third-Party Sharing

We NEVER sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Your information stays with us and is used only for the Watchdog Protection service.

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Where Your Data is Stored

Supabase (PostgreSQL Database): Stores device registrations and verification codes
Railway.app: Hosts our API server (no permanent storage)
Your Device: Settings and preferences stored locally

3.2 Security Measures

✅ All API communications use HTTPS encryption
✅ Device IDs are hashed (SHA-256) for privacy
✅ Verification codes expire after 10 minutes
✅ Rate limiting prevents API abuse
✅ No payment information collected (app is 100% free)

4. Telegram Integration

Watchdog uses Telegram's Bot API to send you notifications. When you register:

We only access your Telegram Chat ID (a number, not your username or phone)
We detect your language preference from Telegram settings
We cannot read your messages or access your contacts
You can unlink your device anytime using /unregister command

5. Your Rights and Control

You have full control over your data:

Change Telegram Account	Click "Switch Account" in the Watchdog app
Stop Using the Service	Uninstall the app - all local data is removed

6. Data Retention

Active Registrations: Kept as long as you use the service
Verification Codes: Automatically deleted after 10 minutes or after use
Alert Logs: Not stored permanently (sent in real-time only)
After Unregistering: All your data is immediately deleted from our servers

7. Children's Privacy

Watchdog Protection is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of Watchdog after changes means you accept the updated policy.

9. Third-Party Services

Watchdog uses these third-party services:

Telegram Bot API: For sending notifications (Privacy Policy)
Supabase: Database hosting (Privacy Policy)
Railway.app: Server hosting (Privacy Policy)
Microsoft Edge WebView2: For displaying content in the app (Privacy Policy)

10. International Users

Watchdog Protection is available worldwide. Your data may be stored and processed in different locations. By using our service, you consent to this international data transfer.

11. Cookies and Tracking

We do NOT use cookies or tracking in the desktop app. Our website may use standard web analytics, but we don't track you across other websites.

12. Open Source and Transparency

We believe in transparency:
